I really loved Sound Opinion’s recommendation of Waxahatchee’s Peace and Quiet a long time ago, she reminded of Liz Phair. But instead diving deeper into Waxahatchee, I just listened to Liz Phair.
Then, a co-worker’s recommendation of her album, Saint Cloud, piqued my interest, but hearing that she did a great Dolly Parton cover prioritized my listening to the album. The album is great. And the cover is fantastic.

Found from an Edgar Wright twitter post: “I love when a band is in such a prolific phase they can have songs other bands would kill for, as mere non album B-sides. The Kinks have tons of these. But check out Sparks’ ‘Barbecutie‘, a glorious banger of a b-side, with awesome bass guitar intro.”
