This is gonna be stupid hard, so…

The last couple of weeks have been focused on teaching myself how to make websites, so I have been reading many a tutorial.  Today, I found a show that is somewhat of a tutorial, but more hilarity than anything else.   Its called “You Suck at Photoshop.”  I recommend watching a show or two; even if you don’t care about photoshop. Filled with Glee.

So Heroes is off for a while, Harper’s Island is interesting but has gotten bumped from Thursdays to Saturdays, and with Survivor also between seasons, the shit on television for those of us who don’t have cable is pretty stagnant. I didn’t keep up with Parks and Recreation, and I liked The Office, but couldn’t motivate myself to watch it regularly, as was the case with 30 Rock. In the midst of television limbo, however, I have found my new breakout show for the year. The only videos I could find are musical scores from the show itself, and they don’t do the show justice. Its dry but funny humor from beginning to end, and the music isn’t terrible, and since I kinda like a cappella, I dig the show that much more. Ladies and gentlemen, courtesy of FOX and Youtube, I give you “Glee.”

Danger, Danger

Ever since the Gray Album and Gnarls Barkley, I have loved almost everything that Danger Mouse has done. His most recent work is a collaboration with a guy who calls himself Sparklehorse. The album, Dark Night of the Soul, has a ton of people featured on it, including Julian Casablancas, Iggy Pop, Wayne Coyne, Black Francis, and images from David Lynch. Although it is not being released by the label due to legal reasons, so it is being released as a 50 page book of David Lynch’s visual interpretations plus a blank CD-R. The entire cd is all over them internets now.
Danger Mouse got on the map when the legal dispute over releasing the Gray Album forced it to mainly be spread over the web, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a publicity stunt by the label. Whatever the reasons, this is a great album. You can listen to it over at NPR.org. Via Boing Boing.

Pick the Perp

I can’t think of any happier marriage than that of mugshots and online gaming. It just so happens that this site Pick the Perp is just the place to entertain those fancies.
