Runaways?

stinkaways

Is anyone excited about this Runaway’s movie? How many people know much about the Runaways or care? Are some people are going to say “I’ve been listening to the Runaways for years, and I think they’re great”? It sorta happened for Ray and Walk the Line, right? If these biopics continue to be popular, what will be the next ones? Whitey thought there would be one about Roger Miller; and I hope he was right.

Just another Manic Monday…

So in fit of procrastination instead of doing my drawing homework this morning, I decided to stumble upon some sites to cure my boredom. I mean life could never be the same after a wicked weekend at home with the Travers clan in celebration of Dee’s 21st. So in my quest to find some entertaining sites, I’m glad i first came across this badboy, which would sure make Lil Mike and Bri guy proud-and i was glad to see even stormtroopers enjoy the weekends. And if I’m procrastinating, why not procrastinate comfortably and in style with these unique and creative pillow designs. I think anna will go optimus gaga over these optimus pillows! And if I’m not doing my own art homework, why not get inspired by someone else’s, who makes something cool everyday or you even create your own online version of Jackson Pollock? And if that didn’t cure my boredom, this sure did the trick by recreating songs on my cellular device-frere jacques anyone? And if your not about remaking classics on your telephone-and you like rap just as much as the next matt colletti, then you’ll love this montgomery flea market diddy. it’s just like, it’s just like, a mini mall! I also thought this site was pretty cool where they take simple things and make them fun.   And if I’m going to be a bum today, I might as well learn something new, and who wouldn’t want to learn about farts-this info page might be as funny as the fart machine (who am I kidding no one can top the fart machine.)

Last but least Snoop D O double G and LMFAO (Shots! SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS! EVERYBODY!) are coming to ISU april 9th. below is the flyer for it. anyone interested?  19742_333490203488_595373488_3493695_2414162_n

I hope you enjoy these links as much as I’m about to go enjoy myself a nice cold arnold palmer and a bowl of cinammon toast crunch. Peace out girl scouts.

Hipster as FCUK

skullstinksLets start with the story. We were at a wonderful .357 String Band show in Milwaukee where I see a shirt that has the skull worked into the state of Wisonsin. I say “hey, thats neato burrito” and at the end of show asked the person wearing it where he got it. His friend’s immediate response was “Don’t fuckin’ tell him, dude.” Ellen and Kelly thought they could use their lady persuasion to get it out of them, but to no avail.

Now here is why I am angry: it seemed to be that the only reason these d-bags didn’t want to tell anyone was because they were so worried that if I, a guy in jeans and a collared shirt, knew where to get this shirt, then they wouldn’t be cool anymore because their outfits (which they seemed to have a lot of time invested into) were the only things defining them with some “scene.” One of the ways you keep things exclusive and unique is you price it high. You don’t keep things hip and exclusive by telling people that buy your product to “uh… don’t tell anyone where you got this.” I’m sure the person who made the shirt wouldn’t have a website that sells the shirts, many places/sites that are clearly promoting the shirt or have it easily searched for on Google if they didn’t want to sell a bunch of shirts. (They probably wouldn’t enjoy that I raped their design to use for the picture on the left, but I digress.) If I am being unreasonable or am wrong about anything, please correct me; I clearly just needed to rant.

And here is the point of this post: Hey, check out this cool shirt at http://wiskullsin.bigcartel.com/

Rox Your Sox Off

There has been a stream of good Soul music coming from the UK lately. Winehouse, Adele, NOISEttes, Duffy a few of the more popular ones. You could probably included VV Brown in there too (if you haven’t listened to her yet, shes got it going on till the break ‘a dawn)
A new one to check out is Rox. She has been on tours with Daniel Merriweather and Mark Ronson (heres a video of her performing Valerie) and according to Pretty Much Amazing, she is produced by Al Shux, the same guy who produced Empire State of Mind.
Here is the video to her first single, My Baby Left Me:
