Farenheit 69

I don’t know what’s happening with this site or my computer or both. I tried to make my last post all cool like at Cracked where they say shit and you can click a phrase and it will take you to a page related to what they’re talking about. But since I can’t get that right, I’ll leave you with this instead:

Madd Disney Rhymes

So I’m about to go a little Austin on this post (so much so that this originally was just a Facebook post on his wall, but I thought I might as well share it for those who don’t happen to check Austin’s lame wall.) Considering the Michigan Travers (aka “Pure Travers” *copyright pending) are a few magical days away from an Orlando vacation, I really hope this guy is an attraction at Magic Kingdom:

Much like Austin, it get’s a little weird at parts but on the whole its pretty solid.

Picture-in-picture.

So yesterday, while surfing TheChive, I stumbled across one of the “Best Links on the Internet.” What happened next was a ride on an interstate-esque network of interweb tangents, bouncing from link to link, until I finally settled on this one:

http://www.cracked.com/article_19323_6-movie-tv-universes-that-overlap-in-mind-blowing-ways.html

After reading the first entry about how all of Quentin Tarantino’s movies are all connected in one vast universe, my interest was piqued, and I further delved into a part of the internet I had previously not visited. Spoiler alert, Reddit is fucking evil. It’s a veritable black hole of random shit that will leave you wondering where the last 4 hours of your life just went. And in the deepest darkest corner of this deepest darkest corner of the internet, you can find a list of fan conspiracies, concerning everything from celebrity deaths to movie plots. There’s always been multitudes of conspiracies regarding Disney’s movies, like this one ratmmjess.livejournal.com/239802.html from Toy Story. Occasionally getting distracted by these other entries, I earnestly tried to remain focused on the Tarantino thing, and discovered that it’s actually not a fan-created theory. It’s no bullshit. There’s this spill all article: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/17/the-intricate-expansive-universe-of-quentin-tarantino. At any rate, Tarantino himself has even commented that movies with more fantastic violence and supernatural elements like “From Dusk Til Dawn” are actually movies that the characters in his connected universe would actually watch. That is to say, they’re movies within a movie, like some kind of pre-“Inception” concept. Anyway, I found the whole thing fascinating, and if you’re into weird shit like that, you might, too. Just don’t get lost along the way.
