Soul Sides Vol. 3

I’ve linked to the blog Soul-Sides before because the author, Oliver Wang, is an amazing authority on soul music. He released two collections of amazing soul cover songs on cds through Zealous Records called Volume 1 and Volume 2. Volume 1 has my favorite cover of What A Man by Linda Lyndell. Volume 2 is where I originally found Al Green’s cover of the Beatles I Want To Hold Your Hand. Volume 3 isn’t being issued on cd; the reasoning why and link to download the collection can be found on the blog.

It’s Smarch!

Loving the lovely Vegas smarch weather. Makes me feel like dancing to some irish music:

Not feeling that? How about Dutch Rave-ers dancing to Yakety Sax? Or an old man to house music?
Via TO.

If you are looking for other ways to be excited about Smarch, try buying the new green vinyl version of Jump Around or buy get a leprechaun shake from McD’s (a shamrock shake with chocolate shake from their secret menu).
-This should probably be a separate post, but I found these too entertaining. Yeah, the secret menus on HacktheMenu.com, are mostly just combining shit already on their menu, but some are pretty good. Favorites include Fries with Big-Mac sauce, Mc10:35 (An Egg McMuffin with extra McDouble Burger Patties) or Pie McFlurry (A McDonalds Pie Blended into a McFlurry) from McDonalds. From Chipotle, there is the Burritodilla(A Chipotle Burrito with a crispy Quesadilla-like shell filled with gooey cheese) or the Quesarito(Two burrito shells sandwich a pile of cheese and is put in the warmer to make a Cheese Quesadilla. The Cheese Quesadilla is then used as the tortilla shell for a Burrito that is loaded with Rice, Beans, Meat, and any Salsa),
