Well, a couple years back, some people got together and made a movie about LARPing. I wrote about it on here before, but just now have noticed that it’s finally on Netflix. I saw them demo it at ComicCon (Wizard World Chicago), and it was pretty good. Here’s a couple trailers, throw it in your instant queue.
And yeah, in case you thought you saw it, ShadowHawk is Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.

On the topic of funny Australian things, I’ve talked about Chris Lilley to Brian and Joan a lot, but for good reason. I recently finished “We Can Be Heroes”, his 6 episode series from 2005. It’s about nominees for “Australian of the Year”. Like Summer Heights High (2007), and Angry Boys (2011), the comedy is cringe-worthy due to the inflated egos of his characters. Think Michael Scott in his prime…with an Australian accent. None are on Netflix, but HBOGO has Summer Heights High. Here’s some clips from each show, respectively.
