Podcasts seem to be the gateway to comedy albums for me. I bought a Todd Glass album the other day because it was mentioned on the Nerdist podcast. I can’t remember where I was recommended Hannibal Buress, but I own that one now. Anthony Jeselnik was funny on Doug Loves Movies which led me to buy his album, Shakespeare, that I have now been listening to on repeat. Where as a lot of comedians play the part of an self-loathing, awkward outcast, Anthony plays it super confident. An oversimplification of his style is poking fun at very difficult topics, which can make it tough for some people to get into, but Kevin and Austin, you are probably going to love him:
Neil showed me the new Black Keys video for Howlin’ For You. I enjoy that they have gotten big enough that they can do whatever they want; and that that they don’t take themselves to seriously now that they are this big.
After length discussions about The Bacon Explosion with Mike, I felt it necessary to post about Epic Mealtime, a series of meat/bacon centric cooking videos that Neil found and I have been obsessed with. My view of Canadians isn’t so bleak anymore. You should probably watch the rest of the videos on their youtube channel; I was trying to figure out the best video to put up as a sample, but they are all so good. Including the breakfast one:
