i’m gonna take off my bra, blast ’em my nips

so, as my summer of cross country adventure wears down, or shall i say goes into one final crack driven overdrive, i should take this time for a small public service announcement, and remind you all that season three of ‘its always sunny in philadelphia’ comes out on dvd in a mere nine days.  thats right people, i believe mr. rooney said it best, “…nine days”.  and that season four comes out on september 18th.  but here’s a little some thing to whet your tongues:

You told everyone that I was gay… OK

While trying to catch up with the lack of internet from Africa, I came across a band/rap-duo called Shwayze.  I thought their tunes were decent, somewhat funny, and kind of a summer appeal to them.  Then I saw the music video of one of their songs and realized that they are trying to be the LFO of the 2008.  I would suggest that you listen to them before you see how much of douchebags they look like in the videos.

And if you forgot that you did like LFO for the summer they were cool then click this: (more…)

I think you’ll feel the same way after viewing this sketch from Adult Swims’ Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job.  I just hope I can get the links to work:

Movies, Movies, Movies

My lack of funds have given me plenty of time to scour Netflix over the past few months and pick out a few gems.  Lemme know what you think.

Into The Wild – I was totally set to despise this movie for no real reason whatsoever but Sean Penn kicked my ass.  This movie rocked!  A coming of age story about a college graduate who leaves everything he knows to traipse through the wilderness of Alaska.  This movie follows Chris McCandless (Hirsch) through his astounding journey and the life lessons he learns along the way.  Hirsch’s performance is reminiscent of Robert Redford in Jeremiah Johnson.

Wristcutters: A Love Story – This one is a little bizarre.  I really don’t know how to explain it but the writers put a nice twist on the normal “boy meets girl” love story.  Set in a strange purgatory (that’s for you catholics) for victims of suicide, Zia (Patrick Fugit) looks for his “real world” girlfriend.  There are many strange happenings along the way that I can’t begin to describe.  Definitely worth a watch.

Things We Lost In The Fire – Get out your Kleenex box because this one is a tear jerker.  I was crying within 10 minutes of the opening credits.  Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro give outstanding performances while they try to get their lives together after the passing of husband and best friend, Brian Burke (David Duchovny).
