Beauty is in the Eye of the Photoshop Owner
Dove has had an ad campaign about real beauty and distorted reality. Cute, True, whatever… I think I saw it on Oprah once too.
I got a kick out of a viral site, that parodied that commercial. Funnier, especially the guy getting a blowjob in the middle of it being apart of his destruction.
A better example of distorted reality can be seen over at Jezebel. The website got a hold of the original picture that was used on the cover before it was airbrushed/photoshopped. They have a bunch of examples there (like America Ferrerra and French president Nicolas Sarkozy), but not as good as this.
If you like that, check out Worth1000. Its a website holds contests in photoshop like changing the gender of male celebrities, putting presidents into movies, or turning things into water.

30 Days of Night
I know I’ve been a little lax on the movie reviews lately but I haven’t seen anything worthy of the Bruce. However, if you are keen to vampire movies, 30 Days of Night will be right up your alley. Staring Josh Hartnett (yeah, i thought the same thing…but he is surprisingly good in this thriller) and co-written by Steve Niles (who wrote the original comic book) the movie takes us to a small Alaskan town preparing for a month of darkness. Hmm…sounds like a vampire’s wet dream. Vivid and gory scenes contrast nicely with the white Alaskan landscape and the vampires themselves are portrayed as ruthless beasts eager to devour whatever flesh they can find. I would put this up there with The Lost Boys for all time favorite vampire flicks.

The Manualist
This sounds dumb, and it is. But hours of fun. Its a guy that plays songs while farting with his hands. He has also done the Mario Brother’s Theme song, Star Wars Cantina, and everyones favorite, The Final Countdown. Is it ok to be jealous of this ability?
