The Universal Record Database
So I found the link to this website via the pop culture blog Popcandy. It is pretty much a knockoff version of the Guinness Book of World records, its called The Universal Record Database and they let people post some pretty funny and creative things. Here is by far the funniest one I’ve found and is also one that I think I can annihilate:
There are some other good runner ups to this one like Most Playing Cards Incorrectly Guessed in a Row or Fastest Time to Open a Can of Campbell’s Soup and Spell “PANTYHOSE.”

Gift Wrapped Kitty Cats
The Arctic Monkey’s were the first band who I discovered on them internets and had an intense love for before they were played on the radio. I’m not saying I was ahead of the curve (they were the new favourite band of practically every blog that I read), I’m just saying they are the first band I cultivated a love for through downloading, other blogs and not the radio. Their awesomeness has since fizzled in my eyes after a mediocre second album and depressing side project for Alex Turner called The Last Shadow Puppets. I am still excited about this third album they are working on, but not as much as I am about Pretty Much Amazing’s Arctic Monkey’s B-Sides and Rarities Project. There is a reason these songs were not picked for the proper release, but the two that were posted already capture them at the their best (at least in my mind). Before this, my only experience to their b-sides before was their cover of a Girls Aloud (sorta like a UK version Pussycat Dolls) cover on a BBC Radio show, Love Machine:

How Random
Some more reposting of stuff I found on sites that I regular. When Not Cot puts up photography posts, I try to avoid them because I normally waste an unnecessary amount of time looking through the artist’s portfolio. Well, they got me again with the picture above from Rasmuss Kaessmann and the german water polo team. Which led to the awesome photos at the Sony World Photography Awards.
Shit My Friends Might Like continue to put up things that are fucking great. There was the Batman and Joker Superbuds, and now the space-age drinkability video.
Pop Candy found a link to hilarious SNL fake commercials (although Nerf Crotch Bat was missing).

Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one bird.
So while I was doing some scholarly research I came upon this little nugget.
So upon first glance I just took this as simply one of those Chuck Norris-ism’s that were popular a little bit ago like:
- It takes Chuck Norris 20 minutes to watch 60 Minutes.
- Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.
- Chuck Norris counted to infinity – twice
- Chuck Norris has already been to Mars; that’s why there are no signs of life there
- If Chuck Norris is late, time better slow the fuck down.
- Chuck Norris can divide by zero.
I did some further research and realized in fact that Google does have a Trends section and when you pit Chuck Norris against Boobs this mock poster is indeed correct – Chuck Norris was more popular than Boobs in Jan. 2006.
