I don’t usually watch the Daily Show unless Ellen or Maria recommends a particular show, but love it show regardless. I thought this interview on The O’Reilly Factor was worth a post; I think it went better than other arguments with rivals. Via (as per usual) Pop Candy

Music!
Some music happenings:
Lots of music singles for Haiti. There is the Hope for Haiti with a bunch of artists. Lionel Richie got a bunch of celebrities together to remake We Are The World (“flashes of Quincy”). (Which still won’t be as good as the Band Aid’s Do The Know It’s Chirstmas or the less popular but still amazing version by Gram Aid.) Simon Cowel put together a star studded remake of Everybody hurts. And last, but not least, is Shane MacGowan and his bat-shit crazy partner are covering I Put A Spell On You also with celebrity backing.
AA Bondy is the singer-songwriter/indie-ballad type that Norah should be all over. He gets a lot of plays on my ipod because he is the first artist alphabetically and gets covered a lot on Rollo & Grady, but I mention him now cause he has a session available at Daytrotter.
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are coming out with a new album and are giving away their first single.
Adam Bones, of the late The Late Nights fame, is trying to play South By Southwest. You can help him by watching his video.

Genesis 23:43
So, while avoiding doing work, i was watching Comedy Central’s comedian countdown. I was pretty lukewarm about most, but Chad Daniels, in the #5 spot, had me rolling on the floor. I can’t find the full comedy central presents, or anything over 2 minutes, so here’s some links. The bio on his site is worth a read as well.

Star Trek Sucks

Updated Image (Click here to see image before Austin’s update)
The Star Wars Franchise is pretty bizarre with what they do sometimes. I’ve only heard about the Holiday Special, and that sounded like a horrible idea. Then I saw this cross promotion with Adidas. Whats really great is that some ad wizard decided that it wasn’t ridiculous enough to just have Vader and Starfighters in a present day, Hip-hop setting, but felt it necessary to pay Snoop Dogg and David Beckham to be involved too. Check out more about it here. (Via InDesignWeTrust)
