Finally, the Wonder World Web has produced and delivered a concise yet entertaining answer to a nagging topic that I’ve pondered in the past (I might have even asked your input.) Query in question, all the songs that you can think of that incorporate whistling, which turns out to be quite a tuneful category. Listening to Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me this morning cataloged some older segments with their favorite authors.  One, Mary Roach, might be the book that starts the Bruce Blog Book Club.   Roach seems to takes science and hilarity to a wonderfully disgusting yet intriguing level.  Listen to the segment from WWDTM of the author describe her work and what drives her to her topics including “sex, dead bodies, and poop”  TED Talks did a nice short profile on Roach.   I suggest we start with her book Packing for Mars: the Curious Science of Life in Space.  I have never been so interested in learning about how people poop in space.  Check out the NY Times book review.  It only reaffirms my belief that this is an ideal selection for all five followers of the Bruce.
