Been listening to Chance the Rapper’s mixtape Acid Raps which lead me to discover another Chicago rapper, Noname Gyspy. It’s nice to break away from raps that focus on guns, bitches and bling:
If you don’t want to break away from those elements, then how about the new A$AP Mob song with Method Man, Trillmatic.
Stuck in my head all day:
I read a book or two about the history of South Africa after being there a few years ago that were interesting. But what’s better than reading about it? A highly-dramatised Hollywood version of it, of course. I never got around to seeing Invictus, but hope I can catch the movie: Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom. Though the interest is more likely because I have been enjoying a lot of stuff with Idris Elba lately, including The Wire, Rock’N’Rolla, and Luther. Whatever the reason, anyone in?
If not, then how about any of the other awesome-looking movies coming out this month? David O. Russel’s American Hustle looks like it is worth the price just for the clothes and hair in the trailer. I was sold on Wolf of Wall Street when Leo and Scorsese were mentioned, but the trailer is amazing too.
