It has apparently taken awhile for this song to sink in, cause I originally was told about this song in an email from Mike with the date of january 23 and Austin about two months later. Maybe it’s new to you, maybe it will knock out Kevin’s song out of your head (probably not though), maybe it is my friday jam:

Rick Ross – The Devil is A Lie HD (Explicit) ft. Jay Z from Ashley Smith Films on Vimeo.

If you like that, Austin also recommends Sanctified.

Via an email from Mike, Rolling Stone has an article breaking down the youtube video of U2 playing Live Aid.  It is a little ridiculous of all the particulars that are described, but there are some gems of info in there.  I have frequently rewatched Queen’s Live Aid performance (and you should too), but I think the entire show should be rewatched to see what other acts I’ve been sleeping on, cause this performance is great:

Not an excited post, but I was just telling Austin how I used to think that Yelawolf was a comedy rap artist when I originally heard this song:

and how I thought Fleetwood Crack was real. Goofy, but real:

Whatever they are, I don’t think they were posted before, so enjoy both getting stuck in your head.
