Every once in a while I come across something that I am surprised that I didn’t know already. Ie. I was listening the the podcast Broken Record where Rick Rubin talked with T-Bone Burnett recently and T-Bone mentioned how enamored he was with the Beastie Boys’ cover/sample of I’m Down. Rick said he was surprised he had heard it because it was never released (due to copyright issues) but might be on Youtube or something. I immediately paused the podcast to be blown away I had never heard this before:
