In class, we have been working on gaining perspective in class and in life. It leads to some pretty interesting talks with the kids but we used this series of timelines to get started which is also pretty neat. Check it out the commentary is pretty great: putting time into perspective.

While enjoying the end of the SCOTUS decision season, I caught up on this Justice Ginsburg interview which is pretty great. I’m intrigued by this Natalie Portman as RBG biopic she talks about, and a forthcoming biography of RBG. In case anyone hadn’t heard bits of this last week here is the Marc Maron and Obama interview.

LOTR and SCOTUS? Excellent.

It seems like John Stewart has been trying not to go over the top with his sendoff. Comedy Central is honoring the show by streaming 42 days of the Daily Show till Stewarts last day, on August 6th, called “Your Month of Zen.” You can’t choose which show to watch, just tune in to the current episode that is streaming. There goes Nora’s next month.

• Other trailers include the new, super gory Doom trailer, and a game called Cuphead inspired from a 1930’s cartoon.  Or just check out the website for the expo.
• Sometimes it make an cover to remind you of how much you love a song.  Checkout this cover of The Killer’s Read My Mind and then listen to the original again.
• I enjoyed watching this prank of hiding hot sauce in a friend’s McDonald’s cup, though probably wouldn’t do this to anyone I know.
• Wanna watch the singer from Smashmouth loose his shit trying to get people to stop throwing bread at him, all while the band and audience is trying to start playing Allstar in the background?  I don’t know why this video entertains me so much, but watch it here.  Meanwhile, Dave Grohl played through breaking his leg.
• Did the lyricist just rework the words Its Britney, Bitch for Madonna in her new song, Bitch, I’m Madonna.  Either she is really proud of this song or it really needs help, cause there are a bunch of celebrity cameos in the video.  Watch it at Stereogum.
