Dan Harmon
Dan Harmon has been busy. After the TV show Community, he had a podcast called Harmontown that morphed into a tour movie. Now all of a sudden he has a show on Adult Swim, Rick and Morty and a show on Seeso called HarmonQuest, which he and celebrity friends play Dungeons & Dragons, which is then animated. See the first episode on Youtube.
Now, for whatever reason, the History channel is producing it’s equivalent of the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, Night Class, including a show called Great Minds with Dan Harmon. The premise is that Dan Harmon has taken his Community money and created a time machine, and he talks to the people that it brings back. For now, they are all on Youtube. Check out this one with Thomas Edison (Jason Sudeikis):

The Verge has this article about this animator, Kévin Gemin, who does these wonderful bird animations by using a Nintendo 3DS. The animations that are more of movement studies are great, but when he adds a song for the birds to dance to, it is great:
