Gaga for the Girls
May 27, 2010 12:16 pmAs Norah might know, I have been going through a little girl group phase. As Mike and Kevin probably know, I am easily coerced into liking a cover if it is done by a woman with a fantastic voice: examples including Whatever You Like by Anya Marina, Florence and the Machine doing Addicted to Love, Kate Nash doing Flourescent Adolescent, KT Tunstall doing I Want You Back or Amy Winehouse doing Monkey Man, Cupid, or That Thing.
The point of this (besides bumping Human Centipede out of the way) is to point out an awesome cover of Bad Romance by an artist named Lissie. At the bottom of the page that I linked to you can hear other songs that she has done.
Not feeling it? How about some Undertones? A newly working/designed Dr. Mooney’s has a post about the great Belfast band.

yes brian , they do rank the “top cover songs” and if you discard the emotional tampon / disco Donna Summer cover, YET AGAIN Beatles – Twist and Shout rises to the top.
ps can somebody teach me to hyperlink!??
Sorry for the delay, you can now add hyperlinks.
