I watched about 1 minute of the auto-tuned Simsons Steamed Clams clip to Smashmouth’s All Star before I said “I get it” and was able to move on, but someone spent a lot of time autotuning it to Green Day’s Basketcase which caught my attention through the video’s entirety:
Thanks AV Club.
I really like these guys. The vocal similarity to John Lennon both helps and hurts this song:
I love this show. From the description: “Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle star in this adult comedy, playing versions of themselves as thirteen-year-old outcasts in the year 2000, surrounded by actual thirteen-year-olds”.
You should watch the trailer, but I wanted post this clip (I know it might come off as sexist that I the one clip I post about it is this one about a guy in their classroom, but it’s probably my favorite line of the show):
Kacey Musgraves’ last album has been on repeat due to it being not only really great, but also at the right levels to always have it in the background. Yet by not paying enough attention, I have just let it play through the rest of the albums (I’ve listened to her Christmas album in it’s entirety a handful of times now) and this Miley Cyrus song has now lodged it’s way into my subconcious:
Yeah, here is a link to the original. BTW… What do else do you think they were considering as lyrics before they settled on “my best friend Leslie”? A weird reference to a non-existent person?
