This may be only interesting to Kevin and Mike, but I thought I would put this up here regardless.
Was at the bar the other day and heard this sweet jam which sounded familiar like it was a cover. Magical smartphone technology told me it was John Legend’s Slow Dance . I realized the familiar part was the background vocals which are the same in Amy Winehouse’s He Can Only Hold Her . Just like Tears Dry On Their Own generously lifts from Ain’t No Mountain High Enough , I should have realized that she also lifted music in other songs. The magic of the internet led me to find The Icemen.
For those that saw the recent PBS Hendrix documentary , you might know that this Icemen song features a young Jimi Hendrix . Which is an excuse to put a link to some awesome covers of his and also just to put this video to the song:

Been listening to Chance the Rapper’s mixtape Acid Raps which lead me to discover another Chicago rapper, Noname Gyspy . It’s nice to break away from raps that focus on guns, bitches and bling :
