The last post about Willem Dafoe’s facial contortions got me thinking about another video that needs to be put on this website. Â It is pretty old, but worth a watch. Â

I posted before about how great I thought FunnyorDie.com was, and they keep putting out hilarious stuff. Â Everybody has seen the “Landlord” and the new one everybody’s talking about is “The Green Team,” but this is especially appropriate for this blog because of certain people’s fascination with Willem Dafoe. Â He manages to go through so many emotions with all those freaky facial expressions in this four minute clip. Â I didn’t think he could top himself by dressing drag in The Boondock Saints, but going crazy to Hall and Oates wins. (more…)
While checking out Mental Floss after the Golden Girls post, I found many things to waste my time reading.  They, like everyone, put together a list of the best videos of the year.  The above is my favorite.  And although I have seen the star wars trumpet before, it is worth another watch. (more…)
So being in Bloomington, Indiana the armpit of America the radio station selection is bleak. However since Lizzy does nothing with her life but play on  http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/  she discovered this little lovely station, Minnesota Public Radio The Current. At first I have been skeptical of Lizzy’s obsession with the Internet because it causes her to get nothing done and stay up into the wee hours of the morning close to when I get up for practice but this is a definite plus to her narcoleptic tendencies. So check it out, http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/, it plays in itunes or I’m sure other music players.
As the temperature drops (along with my bank balance) I find myself confined to home on a more regular basis. Seeing as how I have little to do on a blustery winter day I turn to my TV to entertain me. But since the ol’ girl only gets 5 channels it is no easy task to keep me satisfied. That is until my dial flips to PBS, it is there that my thirst for knowledge is quenched. Throughout the weekend I was able to see a Bob Dylan concert, numerous cooking shows and, quite possibly my new favorite show, History Detectives. So if you haven’t tuned in since Sesame Street I suggest you give it another go. PBS is sure to please no matter what you’re looking for.Â
