According to this website, this song/video is going to take over the internet this week. It is disturbing, but I watched the entire thing for some reason. So sorry, or you’re welcome?

Yeah, sorry. To make up for it, Rolling Stone pointed me to Paul McCartney, who is re-releasing Wings at the Speed of Sound, tweeting an unearthed version of Beware My Love with John Bonham on drums?

.@raisingbiz Yes indeed! And here’s the world premiere of it featuring John Bonham on drums: http://t.co/K7selVAvaO. #Wings #askPaul

The Flaming Lips are releasing an album covering The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band with a little help from friends including Miley, Moby, Dr. Dog, My Morning Jacket, Phantogram and more. Imagine you have really only listened to this drug influenced album not under the influence of drugs for 47 years. Then take that baseline and reinterpret the album with an even more psychedelic tone. That is this album. Take a listen to With a Little Help From My Fwends yourself over at NPR First Listen.

In somewhat of the same vein, Primus is releasing an album reimagining the soundtrack to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory called “Primus & The Chocolate Factory With The Fungi Ensemble”. To promote it, they are hiding 5 golden tickets among the vinyl release for free tickets to any of their shows for life. Nothing to listen to yet except this album trailer:

Foo Fighters! They are doing their best to promote this new album, Sonic Highways, with a series on HBO and now playing all week on Letterman. Monday, they covered Black Sabbath’s War Pigs with Zac Brown and yesterday, they covered Heart’s Kick It Out (though is it a cover if they play with Ann and Nancy Wilson?). They sound really good:

Also, in that same Rolling Stone post, it mentions that Foo Fighters are playing a show at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville on the 17th because it was where Grohl saw his first punk show. Wtf?
