While I love for the ‘today in history’ box, interesting fact today in 1917 The ‘Balfour Declaration’ gives British backing for ‘a national home for Jewish people’ in Palestine. But it also has an almost equally amazing section, “Weird and Wonderful“. So I have been perusing the site at work this morning and found this little tid bit, “Man is Found Glued to Toilet Seat“. Sound like it has been all uphill for them since Thatcherism got the boot, public toilets for everyone ring in New Labor!

Radio…Radio…
I know my posts usually are dedicated to movies (and mocking kevin) but I would like to take this opportunity to discuss my new found love…88.1 KDHX. After scanning the airwaves of STL I had concluded the radio stations here suck as much as they do in Milwaukee, but to my surprise I stumbled upon a diamond in the rough (yes, I am using lines from Aladdin). This listener supported community station is quite possibly the most diverse station I’ve ever laid ears on. I’ve heard everything from African tribal music, Folk, Bluegrass, HipHop, Rock, Indie, etc.  You name it, they play it. In case you want to get in on the grooves, you can listen online at  http://kdhx.org/. None of the hits, all of the time.

Wassup, here is a just a random list of stuff that I found today. Topless Robot put a list together of the weirdest E.T. merchandise here. Here is a promotion where you can morph a picture of yourself into the hulk here. I don’t know if I would spend this kind of money, but I do think it would be cool to have a personalized muppet. A bunch of bands are making 8 second promos for NBC just doing the three bars. The Flaming Lips are doing one with the help of Wayne Coyne’s guitar made with a guitar hero controller. Here is another cute/funny video for Obama with the Wassup guys. You can have Ellen Degeneres call someone you know for a wakeup call to take pills. And, nope, that picture is not supposed to be an E.T. dildo.
