Ms. Bliss Would Be Disappointed In Me

Saved by the bell logo  I used to watch Saved by the Bell religiously on saturdays.  I watched when they were in their college years, when they were on summer vacation, and the made for tv movies when they went to Hawaii and Las Vegas.  I even watched California Dreams which was always on right after.  I tried to watch Hang Time, but lets face it, no one liked that show (except for Kelly).  So when I saw this quiz on Mental Floss, I thought I had it in the bag.  Wrong.  I was so wrong that I only got a 53% or so. Pretty tough; I think only my roommate could do really good at this quiz.  But then again, so could I if I watched it every morning on TBS.

  • Kelly says:

ok, i only admitted to watching hang time — not to liking it — which, in all fairness, i probably did. what i probably shouldn’t admit is the 80% i just rocked on that quiz, but such is the life of a tv junkie.

also, i am pretty sure that the california dreams board game can still be found in our basement if anyone’s up for it…

i also got an 80%….and was actually a little disappointed …..and by the way who said hang time sucked i loved it!

  • Brian says:

I’ll tell you one reason why it sucked. Anthony Anderson. I don’t think I have liked anything he has been in.

  • Neil says:

What’s wrong with watching it every morning on TBS?

  • Kelly says:

brian, don’t tell me you didn’t like barbershop — officially not friends.

  • Brian says:

Nothing is wrong with TBS every morning. If I could wake up that early, I would probably be watching it too.
And I definitely did not like Barbershop. Ellen says she loves that movie too, but I don’t think she has ever been able to stay awake for the whole movie.

  • Nora says:

Lies! I can testify that the Kennelly Family has owned Barbershop, though its present location is questionable, and that Ellen was awake watching it if only for the first time we watched it together.

brian, don’t front like you were a HUGE saved by the bell fan, because thats a damn lie. let me refresh your memory, you HATED that show, it was huge source of tension in our house on saturday mornings. sbtb was on tnbc, the same time as x-men and attack of the killer tomoatoes on other non-cable networks. the only reason you know anything about saved by the bell, is because i am the princess, and i won most of those arguements forcing you against your will to watch them. so don’t pull this “nostalgia” crap with me, i know the truth.

and california dreamin’ was amazing, sly was way cuter than his screetch sbtb equivilent. kelly i think i’m going to have to take you up on that game challenge

Nora, I watched Barbershop with you and Ellen. Both of you fell asleep. Both of you said that you watched the entire movie and in fact did not. Secondly, both of you lie quite regularly about things like this.
Joan, you smell. I wanted to watch x-men because I already seen all of the sbtb and wanted to watch the x-men I had not seen before. Fucking sue me.
I am also in on a California Dreamin’ game.
