In our unit on the Executive branch we are studying elections, money, and campaign finance reform. Instead of the boring old book activities we will be using Colbert in the Classroom. According to Slate, Colbert is leading America’s education on campaign finance specifically the infamous Citizens United case. After starting his own Super Pac with the guidance of former FEC head Trevor Potter. This alleged work that I have been doing really has just been a trip down memory lane of Colbert’s class on campaign finance reform in the US since 2008. Here are some of the real jems. Now to just see how much vulgarity I can get away with in the classroom; it is a public school after all God can’t smite me in there. Looks like Justice John Paul Stevens might be sassier than the almighty.
