• Angry Rants

So I like every other person reading this enjoys watching Kelly get riled up about Vanna White or Rachel about the creepy Santa Head (I’ve only heard wonderful stories about “Rachel on Roids”). So it is no surprise that an angry politically charged article would cause me such pleasure on the longest stint, in the name of the Society of Jesus, to ever take place in the Raynor library. I have been here approximately in an 2 hours and am hunkered down until 11. Anyways here it is. Sorry Michael because you are from Texas, but not really that sorry.

  • History and Jokes? What else could I ask for!

Some of you may or may not have noticed that the Kennelly family enjoys a good historically themed movie, historical family field trips, any type of reenactment, or really anything historically related. It may also be no surprise my completely healthy love for Russian history. Anyways this site quenches both my historical thirst and adds some quips for those not as interested in reading historical biographies… fools. This week is, whom I believe to be the most frightening historical figure, Rasputin. A crazy old mystic involved with the downfall of the Romanov inbred dynasty and even the spread of venereal disease throughout St. Petersburg.  The site also has multiple other people to check out at your will. But really who wouldn’t have nightmares about this man…

  • The Iron Lady Loves Pranks

You should all change your home page to the bbc.co.uk immediately . While I love for the ‘today in history’ box, interesting fact today in 1917 The ‘Balfour Declaration’ gives British backing for ‘a national home for Jewish people’ in Palestine. But it also has an almost equally amazing section, “Weird and Wonderful“. So I have been perusing the site at work this morning and found this little tid bit, “Man is Found Glued to Toilet Seat“. Sound like it has been all uphill for them since Thatcherism got the boot, public toilets for everyone ring in New Labor!

    The Stupid Vote

Not that it needed to be said but Jon Stewart is the love of my life. After finally getting cable 8 weeks into the school year I get to start each day off right watching reruns of the Daily Show. On the first day of TV’s glorious return this episode featured my favorite correspondent John Oliver. Anyways here is a clip about the election and the Cubs.
