Super Bowls

Less than a week till Super Bowl. My preferred way to enjoy the game is to have a proper assortment of gluttonous food so that a food-coma is threatening for the entire second half of the game. Mike’s recent text about the availability of Chocolate Covered Potato Chips sparked an idea and some Google-ing to find similarity amazing food. So lets use this post and comments to this post as a forum to brainstorm ideas about the best snacks for this special day. So far, the interesting finds include Taco Bell Beef Crunch Burritos, Ham and Cheese Pretzel Bites and Crockpot French Onion Dip (anything requiring a crockpot is going to excite me). Or is the best bet to go Epic Mealtime on this bitch?

Some stuff and a present for Kevin.

So, I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, but if you haven’t textsfrombennett.com is pretty sweet.

Along the same lines as Texts from Last Night, there’s also damnyouautocorrect.com, which captures some of the unfortunate turns conversations can take when your phone changes your words to words it “thinks” you meant.

If you like Sacha Baron Cohen after Borat (despite Bruno), he’s got another movie coming out. The Dictator right now looks “meh” to me, but the trailer is on youtube now if you wanna take a peek.

I was gonna post the trailer to the Three Stooges Movie, but when I watched it I was greatly disappointed, and then revolted when I saw that Mike “The Situation” and Snooki are going to make appearances. Barf.

Finally, Kevin, I promised you something in the title, and I shan’t disappoint.

On a side note, Brian, I’m loving the new user friendly method on the site. It’s sweet. *Correction: I can’t post links for some reason. We need to have a class.

Norah

In response to Norah’s well thought out and crafted posts, here’s something half-assed. But it can’t wait. HBO is currently airing Angry Boys, an Australian show that’s 3 seasons in so far. Easily on my top 5 comedies list already. I don’t feel the need to tell you how to watch shows online (especially if your computer is your TV). Even Joan couldn’t oversell this show.

Also, this is for Neil and others who haven’t come around to rap/hip-hop. winter break wikipedia-ing and random blogs have led me to Rap Genius. It’s a hip-hop blog that explains songs, line by line. People post and “thumbs up” explanations, like its Wikipedia, and the most liked is the default explanation. Which has led to a lot more resepect for basically any rapper out there, as well as Watch the Throne, which has been on repeat for days. Because my iPod screen is broken.  Basically,  next time you search a song’s lyrics on Google, pick the rapgenius.com page.

Shower time. Some of us don’t have school tomorrow.

Job Interview Questions

Innovative companies that want to grow and stay innovative need to hire innovative people. Tech companies like Google weed these people out by asking quirky questions. Ellen talks about the quick-on-your-feet thinking questions asked when she was interviewed for her job at the Board of Trade, but none were as crazy as this list that was compiled by Opendoor. It somewhat reminds me of Chuck Klosterman’s “23 Questions I Ask Everybody I Meet In Order To Decide If I Can Really Love Them.” Via Marketplace.
